Double Conversion
Sometimes called "on-line operation", double
conversion is a superior method of providing UPS service. The AC input is
first rectified (converted) into a DC voltage. The DC is used to keep the
batteries toped off, and also to power the inverter section - where it is
converted back to AC to drive the load. By constantly converting the DC
source to true sine wave AC, the SANUPS products assure clean output power, free from any disturbances
on the incoming power lines.
